Saving Abel
- Saving Abel is an American rock band formed by Jared Weeks and Jason Null in 2004.
- The band's name references the biblical story of Cain and Abel. Null came up with the name saying “I Googled the story of Cain and Abel and found a line about ‘there was no Saving Abel,’ which just jumped out at me.”
- Despite the name and its origin, they're not a Christian band.
- Saving Abel released their self-titled, major label debut album on March 11, 2008. The album features the single "Addicted" which peaked at #2 on the US Mainstream Rock Chart.
- On February 7, 2009, Null and another employee of the band were arraigned on charges of forced oral copulation and forced oral copulation on a minor. Police say that they forced a 17-year-old girl to perform a sex act following a concert in Oakland. The band posted bail for Null but left their guitar technician in jail despite his bail being lower. Both men pleaded not guilty. All charges against both men were dropped on February 11, 2009 after a video recording contradicted the girl's statements.
