December 6th marks the release of Amy Winehouse‘s posthumous album “Lioness: Hidden Treasures”.
Mitch Winehouse, Amy’s father stated, “The family view was nothing was going to go out unless it was comparable to ‘Frank’ or ‘Back To Black’. If it wasn’t as good as that then we wouldn’t have allowed it to go out.”
So while it was admittedly hard for the family to listen to the album, they gave their permission for the LP to be put out after deciding it was “comparable” to her previous studio albums, which included 2003′s ‘Frank’ and 2005′s ‘Back To Black’.
