Bruce Springsteen’s 17th album titled “Wrecking Ball“, is scheduled for release March 6, 2012 in the USA (March 5th in the UK), with an accompanying tour also in the works. Springsteen’s latest work, an 11 track EP, was produced was produced by mufti-platinum record producer Ron Aniello, who has previously worked with artists including Candlebox, Lifehouse, Barenaked Ladies, Jars of Clay and other top artists.
Jon Landau calls a “big-picture piece of work. It’s a rock record that combines elements of both Bruce’s classic sound and his Seeger Sessions experience, with new textures and styles.” He went on to say that “Bruce has dug down as deep as he can to come up with this vision of modern life. The lyrics tell a story you can’t hear anywhere else and the music is his most innovative in recent years.”
A U.S. tour with Bruce Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band appears to be confirmed but the dates have yet to be selected. From the artists website:
“A lot of you have been hearing that Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be on tour in 2012. That is absolutely correct. Here’s the European itinerary. Info on the US dates and the World tour dates will coming up shortly. “
