- In 1968 his song, "Honey" became the largest-selling record in the world.
- Bobby's first concert bookings had him opening for the Rolling Stones on their first U.S. tour.
- Bobby Goldsboro, the songwriter has received twenty-seven B.M.I. awards and his compositions have been recorded by such diverse artists as Aretha Franklin, John Denver, Paul Anka, Dolly Parton, Billy Gilman, Dr. John and Bette Midler.
- Bobby wrote ninety percent of them. “Honey” was written by Bobby Russell and “Watching Scotty Grow” was written by Mac Davis. He wrote “With Pen In Hand” while he was in his car. It was raining like crazy, so he pulled off to the side of the road, got out his guitar and had an idea for a song.
- Bobby started out as a back-up guitarist for Roy Orbison who taught him about being on stage in front of crowds and writing music.
