112 formed in Atlanta, Georgia and consisted of members Marvin Scandrick, Michael Keith, Quinnes Parker and Daron Jones.
The group had its start when the members met while attending high school.
“Forte” at the time, the group performed talent shows at church and school.
After being brought to the attention of Sean "Puffy" Combs, the group was quickly signed in front of a local club in Atlanta called 112, which is credited to the group’s name 112.
The group has sold collectively a total of about 16+ million records world wide.

"Dance with Me" was the third and final single released from 112's 2001 album, Part III. The released version features Rap artist,Beanie Sigel and is featured on the Bad Boyalbum, We Invented the Remix.^[1] The song peaked at #39 on the Billboard Hot 100, but failed in its home market to copy the success of "Peaches & Cream" which peaked at #4, and "It's Over Now" which peaked at #6. However, the song was a surprise hit inAustralia, reaching #2 on the country's ARIA Charts in April 2002 and registering as the 28th biggest song of the year.
